The Scholastic Institutes Olga Fiorini & Marco Pantani opened a branch at their headquarters in Via Varzi in Busto Arsizio dedicated to scholarships offered by College Life Italia, the Roman agency founded in 2013 that supports students in their transfer to an American college practicing a high level sport. The long experience of the Institute in the world of sport, together with the will of a former student of the Liceo dello Sport, Mattia Pace, helped to reach an agreement with College Life Italia to offer all student athletes the chance to get a scholarship of academic study that facilitates access to the American educational system.
In fact, College Life represents the main bridge between Italy and the United States in the world of sport and education: thanks to a staff made up of professionals, it assists students and their families in the bureaucratic process and obtaining sports scholarships in the most prestigious colleges and American high schools.
Mattia was able to experience this experience overseas by attending an American college for three years and, having recently returned to Italy, he accepted the assignment given to him by College Life Italia to manage the help desk within Acof. “In America we go on based on meritocracy and the school-sport relationship is completely different, it opens up a lot of doors and you have great support. It has been three years that I have grown as an athlete and as a man and now I see the world from another perspective. I want to offer this professional and sporting opportunity, unique in the
life to all “.
The desk is open Monday to Friday from 2.15pm to 6.15pm and Saturday from 09.15am to 12.15pm and is aimed at students of all addresses.
